Microsoft windows XP Starter Edition is designed to offer an affordable and easy to use entry point to the Windows family of products that is tailored to local markets, in local languages and is compatible with a number of Windows based devices. The Windows XP Starter Edition supports the company’s long term vision for global market place, empowering more and more people to achieve their fullest potential.

Windows Starter 2007 Beta offers a significant level of localization and customization for beginner PC users. Many aspects of the product, from its interface and commands, to support and step by step tutorials were created in the native language of the developing country in which it will be offered. For India this product would be multilingual. For many non-english speakers, this will be their first meaningful PC experience in which they can do a number of tasks.
