Hi,

I have a .xlsx file having many US state zip codes with leading Zeros. But the problem is that when i convert the file into .csv the leading zeros in zip codes removes. Is there any solution to keep the leading zeros in the zip codes in .csv file? Example file is attached for your reference.

For ex - "01254" gets replaced to "1254"

Thanks
Danish

Hi,

Are you particualar in saving the file as a .CSV file.  or would you be OK with saving it as a .TXT file?  If you save the file as a text file, the zeroes are maintained in the text file.  When you then open the text file in MS Excel, the Text to columns box allows you to specify the nature of that column as text values (thereby retaining zero values).
