Thks a lot...

How can I add some customized tag in data label.
For Eg.

If I'm having data value 200 & if I want it in 2 decimal values, I'll format that data values in "Format data Labels" & then I change it into Number with Decimal places=2. Then it'll show 200.00

Likely, how would I get someother text value along with that so that it displays 200 & that text???

Hi,

In the attached file, the graph shows the details of mobile-towers & its fuel consumption. The fuel consumption ie."Average Diesel Consumed per site" line graph is designed with the litres of consumption. In graph, the Data label shows only the numbers such as 197,235,197 etc. But I want it with 'L" suffixed with those numbers mentioning it in Litres like 197L,235L,197L etc.

How can we make this???

Hi,

Try this

1. Select any one data label of 'Average diesel consumed per site" and all data labels will get selected automatically
2. Press Ctrl+1
3. Go to Number > Category > Custom > Type > 0"L" ;-0 > Add
4. Click on Close

The data labels will now be appended with L

Hope this helps.

Hi in case of Y axis, I'm having the scale with a difference of 500 units as follows... 0,500,1000,1500,2000,2500,3000,3500.
Now I need some variance from 0 to 500 so that the scale should be as follows...  0,100,200,300,400,500,1000,1500,2000,2500,3000,3500.

How can I do that???

Hi,

I am not aware of how to change the Y axis values to your desired values.  At max, you can change the Y axis values to Logrithmic values so that Y axis values with base 10 will be 1,10,100,1000,10000.  These are not what you want so you may try with a different log base such as 2,5, etc.

Alternatively, you may plot your average diesel consumption on the secondary y axis.  Right click on the average diesel consumption line and select Format Data Series.  In that, select secondary axis.  This will plot the diesel consumption on the secondary y axis.

Hope this helps.

Kindly fid the attached file havig graph. In case of Y axis, I'm having the scale with a difference of 500 units as follows... 0,500,1000,1500,2000,2500,3000,3500.

Log method is not working because when applied it changes for the readings above 500. So I need someother way.

How do I create Broken Y axis in my Graph???

Hi,

As you would have read from John Peltier's blog post, it is cumersome to create and maintain broken y axis charts.  My opinion would be to create two seperate charts:

1. The first would be a two y axis chart showing total sites and total tenants on the primary y axis and diesel consumed on the secondary y axis
2. The second would be another two y axis chart showing average diesel consumed per site and per tenant on the primary y axis and diesel consumed on the secondary y axis.

Hope this helps.
