Happily (and publicly, surprisingly) floating around on the internet is some of the work of the head 3D persona at Microsoft by the name of Robert Stein III. Come preview some of Mr. Stein's work and see what an amazing job he does and the artwork that shows how Vista's RTM UI seems to lack that original Longhorn pizzazz we all came to know and love.

Cutting straight to the chase, below, you can find a plethora of unseen visuals relating to Microsoft's Windows platform. There's everything from icons to packaging prototypes:

thnx buddy.
Its true that Vista lacks so much features, which were scheduled in Longhorn. Longhorn was a total eye candy but lots of features were removed from Vista bcoz of program compatibilities.

Yeah, Vista has lots of nice features but to be honest it doesnt contain even 50% features, which were scheduled at the time of Longhorn, like Animated Login Screen, Glass Toast (Galssy Baloon Tips), Animated background of toolbar in explorer with sexy buttons and many other features.
Once I watched a video on Youtube about what features were scheduled in Vista but were removed bcoz of compatibility issues.
