gpedit.msc is not included in Home editions. Its not new. Windows XP Home Edition also didnt have it.

True, but I thought one could still import policies via MMC.

yeah ur right manan......i wonder why MS has not included gpedit.msc in home versions of xp and vista.......any specific reason?

I guess they thought that Home users won't be using Group Policies as they are mostly required in offices, to give specific rights to specific accounts. But, a home machine is well meant for your persoanl leisure use and 1 does not particularly require Group Policies.

The funny part is that the fucntions can be obtained via registry so it actually doesn't make any sense not to have a GUI. But, well I guess that makes for a difference in versions, hence it is so.
