Backing up Computer and files on a network???

I have a question, I'm trying to backup my computer and files (Control Panel\System and Maintenance\Backup and Restore Center) on a network drive.  I have two computers, one with Vista Ultimate and the other with XP Professional on it.  I'm trying to back up the vista files and computer to the xp one via a network.  My vista computer can find the xp computer and everything but when i try to back up, it ask me for a password.  I don't want to create a password for neither of the computers.. is there a way to bypass this and do my backups.  something along the lines of group policy editor/terminal services...

i read somewhere, when i was doing remote desktop, i can bypass username and password, but it was when i had xp on both computers..

why can't i backup my files on my own computers in vista....

help...
