When I first joined MeraWindows back in 2006, I saw that only 3-4 members were active. Most of the posts were unanswered as mostly people used to come here to be MVP and there would be every tom, dick and harry post about Microsoft.
It looked like spam! But things have changed now, many new members are coming here and staying active. They are having these flashy avatars and signatures. There is a wide variety of topics to see. So it feels really great to be a part of this change and I hope most of the old and active members would agree with me! But I would like to make some suggestions which would make the community even better.
1) Reply to a topic only if you can add to the discussion and give your inputs. Keep thank you posts as low as possible
2) Try to post about 2-3 important and relevant posts per day so that people can get time to reply to the topics previously posted. Seeing a huge number of new topics is really daunting!
And remember it's always the quality and not the quantity that matters!
3) I want all of you guys to help in moderation of the community. Please report anything which you feel is not right. I would like to happy sticky thread, titled ''Reports to moderators'' We can create an account with ''anonymous'' as the username and ''anonymous'' as the password, so that users don't have to disclose their identity if the feel uncomfortable!
4) I think that the aggregated forum should be closed. Just as I said earlier, when members see all the topics in the aggregated forum , they might miss out some important ones as looking over all the updated topics is really a task. Though I don't think most people would agree with this.
5) Please reply to other topics and not just your own topics. I know that I myself do that very less, but you can be an example to me!
I will give more suggestions once they come to my head!
