well i have said this before and will say it again promoting merawindows as a place to get the mvp award is wrong, why:

1. people only post thinking that they will get the mvp award, which leads un-necessary spamming on the boards they will post any and every info they find about MS not chking whether it has been posted before

2. i think india has a lot of other powerful forums where a lot of people help each other and the mvp award IMHO is not meant to be given only to who are active on MS *affliated* sites, it degrades the mvp awards as they are meant to recognise people who help others and spread knowledge, it is like saying that only those who post on msdn or technet are eligible for mvp awards which im pretty sure is not the case

saying that if u post on this forumor are active here will get u the mvp award seems not right to me

activity of a forum depends on the forum itself and not what awards the forum can give

having said that i would say that competitions are a much better way than saying that if u post here u will get the mvp award

u r right to some extent about the mvp award. see, if people spam ms news here just to get the mvp award, then let them be. what are the moderators for? does this inactive forum look much better? i didn't say that mw would promote that by just posting here you would get the mvp award, i said there just be some mention of it. freebies and competition are also needed.
