If it was so easy, then they would have done it. First thing is they can't switch to Linux and the second thing is its not easy and safe to migrate the forum software. There are high chances that migration will not work and complete database will become corrupt. Then what will be the benefit having a forum with no post and no members?

Thats why the best thing is to wait for the next DNN release and keep the good work continue. Its the forum environment not software which keeps at least me to come here and post. I love it.
