as Posting a message by clicking the Reply button is quite booring.....

php s/w are usually run on Linux OS and have their own pros and cons
DNN s/w is windows based s/w and is developed using .net technologies.Its in its early stages and it has its own pros and cons...

as google said..you can't say which OS is best linux or windows or Mac as each has its own pros and cons...everything depends on user.

most commonly used forum softwares namely - phpbb; vb; ipb; smf are tun on linux servers and not on windows servers .... these forum softwares have a wider audience and acceptibility and as a result more modding as compared to DNN (i never knew there existed 1 till i came across this site)
