Disabling ReadyBoost Encryption

Hi,

Is there any registry tweaks or alike that can disable encryption in vista's readyboost? I dont need encryption in my home, also readyboost would performs much faster without encryption, anyone?

thanks

Re: Disabling ReadyBoost Encryption

First of all Welcome to MeraWindows Community...martin

Run Registry editor

Start >> type regedit in start search or in Run dialog box and hit enter.

Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem

Create or modify a DWORD value named NtfsDisableEncryption and set it to 1

Restart your PC to take effect.

Re: Disabling ReadyBoost Encryption

Hi,

Thanks Ramesh for the info, but i dont think this will work for vista's readyboost... i notice no difference in processor usage while readyboost is running.

i think this will only work for regular files in hard disk...
