" New Text Document " missing from Pop up menu??? 

The encircled option i.e. "New text document" is missing from New pop up menu.

I want a registry setting or some way by which I can get it back.

Paste following code in Notepad and save with name "VG.REG" (including quotes). Run the file and accept the confirmation:

Thanks VG.  I had a similar issue when GetDiz replaced Notepad.  This apparently returns Notepad to the default text editor.  How would you modify this to invoke a different text editor, for example NoteTab or HxD?
