Prepare for big changes with the Office revolution
WHENEVER Microsoft releases a major new version of Windows, the
company likes to have a new version of its Office productivity suite to
sell as well.
This makes sense in several ways. Like Windows, Office is a cash
cow, one of the staples in Microsoft's revenue pantry. Having a new
operating system and a version of Office to go with it is a double bump
for the company's shareholders.
But Office is also more than just a set of tools for workers. It's
also a platform for development and it gives Microsoft a chance to show
off what can be done with users pair it with the latest Windows release.
