The Latest Updates Available for Windows Vista 
There has been a consistent amount of feedback from Windows Vista users after the operating system's general availability pointing out various functionality issues. Well, you will be happy to know that Microsoft is hammering away at Windows Vista perfecting it. No less than six new updates have been made available from the Redmond Company, yesterday March 27 2006. You'll have to keep in mind that these are not security patches but fixes designed to take care of issues across the operating system.

The updates will enable Vista users to fix glitches in various areas of the operating system. Microsoft has revamped the definition files used to detect messages and determine if the emails should be labeled as junk email or phishing content. Update for Windows Mail Junk E-mail Filter [March 2007] (KB905866) and Update for Windows Mail Junk E-mail Filter for x64-based Systems [March 2007] (KB905866) address this specific issue.

Microsoft has also issued an update designed to reconfigure the Windows Customer Experience Improvement Program. Through this action, the Redmond Company aims to improve the quality of information that it receives from users. Update for Windows Vista (KB931174) and Update for Windows Vista for x64-based Systems (KB931174) will help with this issue.

Some copies of Vista where poor video quality is the result of interlaced mode configurations: Update for Windows Vista (KB932649) and Update for Windows Vista for x64-based Systems (KB932649) provide a fix for this.

Microsoft is also tackling Apple iPod issues with the latest patch of updates. In order to prevent the corruption of iPods while using the Safely Remove Hardware feature in Windows Vista, Microsoft has made available Update for Windows Vista (KB933824) and Update for Windows Vista for x64-based Systems (KB933824).

One of the biggest issues in Windows Vista was related to the metadata management of images in proprietary format. In order to resolve an issue related to the addition of metadata to RAW images from Canon EOS-1D or EOS-1Ds cameras, Microsoft is offering Update for Windows Vista (KB932988) and Update for Windows Vista for x64-based Systems (KB932988).
