Looks like its open-season on Wave 3 now, with Inky over at Mess.be getting his hands on the Wave 3 Milestone 1 installer for Windows Live Messenger. While Inky may be obsessed with version numbers and about screens, we’re more interested in what’s going on in terms of new integration across services. Its now been 9 months since the launch of Messenger 8.5, Mail and Photo Gallery as part of Wave 2, but as this is only a first milestone, there’ll be other internal updates before a version gets released to the public. That said, there’s still some positive signs that the eventual Messenger v9 release is going to be good.

Microsoft DMCA’s us on Windows Live Wave 3 Messenger info

Microsoft sent LiveSide and mess.be a takedown Notice for the Messenger Wave 3 screenshots posted on 11th August. It was sent direct to their ISP and these sites removed the items.

I ask our MW readers of not to spread Leaked build information. If someone wants to try their hands at the real thing , join Connect (connect.microsoft.com) and get your hands on new betas.

What other readers of MW think about it ? In my view its wrong to spread Leaked builds as they are not complete and generally originate from unofficial sources which may not be reliable. And these leaked build info may spread incorrect information as they are not the correct products. And once leaked these spread like wildfire so does the incorrect information hurting the products itself.
