Check out any of the image which I have posted on my site like check the link of the logo of Windows Xp here-

when we post the images using windows Live Writer we are gven the option to rename it but when I had posted it after updating Wordpress,the images posted from then onwards has such a name-

http://techtoday.110mb.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/windowslivewriterfontsforwindowsxp-68edwindows-xp-logo-thumb.jpg

while the actual name of the image should be windows-xp-logo-thumb.jpg

also getting the same error on my newly created site- http://ankurmittal.com

inserted images using the insert->picture option & then renamed them, removed the hyperlink & published :)

It's a Microsoft world kid, I am just living in it.

Alright I have checked Ur site but still I have also checked on the new site and it shouldn't occur on new installation anyways I had left the message on WLW help group,let 's see what they say.I read on many sites that their is a problem with WLW after upgrading wordpress but I dont think their should be any problem when their is new installation.

Ankur, AFAIK, many wordpress related errors occur because of  improper upgrade. You may have some pre-2.51 WordPress files mixed in there, may be.Try  reuploading  all of the WordPress 2.51 files again and see if the problem goes. You can also update your account configuration with WLW.

And if you check where you have posted in help group, it has solved this problem.
