more depends on budget and requirements .. hardly there is diffrence between intel duo core and amd proessors .. technology is almost same just the brand is different...

yes amd gives u an advantage over palying games as the playing and working is more better as compared to intel wch sucks for graphics and direct x updates ....

the heating up problem you wil find less in amd as compare to intel ..

amd or intel choice depends on for which u purpose u need .. gaming or normal work.

Both are equally good in their respective models. Sometimes AMD brings out new versions fast, sometimes Intel wins the race.

But people here in India are more familiar with Intel because of their strong advertising.

I think AMD always wins in their price/feature as compared to Intel. Earlier AMD was ill famous for its heating and now as naxx2vd is saying intel is having heating up problem. Actually I am using both processor based PCs and both are equally good in their respective fields. As nax2vd said AMD may have upper hand in graphics.

vasu i have faced heating up problems in both but intel more.. it heats up more for a certain period of time wen the ram n processor usage is more.. but get cools faster also.. 

in amd i have not found such problems frequently as comapred to intel..  and also the usage matters lik for what purpose ur deploying .

ur right both are gud in there fields.. graphics yes..
