AMD did a Mental warfare by reducing the price but Intel answer the Intel Pentium E which even is better than the highest COe 2 Duo is priced at 4k looks a sweet deal so what you make go for Intel Pentium E with a good board so that in future if you want more poswer than the board gives you an option well if you ask for Board then Intel recently launched P35 series of board based on DDR 3 which is awesome so go for 1:) AMD is doomed for now ;)

Currently using Amd 3200+ 1 GB ram and 6600gt 256mb with Vista Ultimate. Everything is running smooth. My neighbour got E6300 1 GB ram and 7600gt 256mb with Vista Ultimate. I compared both but didn't find that much diff. between mine and his pc.  As piyush said we can't compare them both.. It depends on budget and what we need. Yea but Intel is little ahead of AMD after the c2d procy came into the market.
