Good Enough For Vista?

Hi guys,

Im new here and am thinking about installing vista... in your opinion do you think i should?

Here are my specs:

Intel(R)

Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz, 504/512MB of RAM (Comp info says 504, Vista advisor upgrade program says 512)

Intel 865GV Integrated Graphics 64MB Max (AGP Slot Available)

Make : Sony VAIO Desktop - PCV-RS 510

You thinks it enough for Windows Vista Ultimate?

Thanks.

For Windows Vista Ultimate U need atleast 1 GB of RAM and a graphics card of 128 MB MIN.

Windows Vista Ultimate would run on it but it would slow with no graphics.

Then what about for Home Premium or Business? Also, 128MB Graphics card is for DirectX9 and im not really gonna play pc games.. just for normal use.. Internet , MsOffice , such.

Re: Good Enough For Vista?

You can only run the Vista Basic version with your configuration . Your ram is too low as well as the graphics card memory. In order to run Aero smoothly, you need atleast 2 gb of ram and a 128 mb graphics card. 1 gb of ram is the bare minimum

Ur Computer specifications are such that only Windows Vista Home would work and this is what you may have got when U purchased it because on every branded computer it is written compatible with this window or the other one.
