Why not AMD 64FX ?
Go for AMD 64FX onwards series processor with Asus mainboard. Most people dont understand the importance of mainboard which is subswquently the 2nd most imp thing after processor. Asus is a brand partner for AMD from long time. Dont think of any other vendor's mainboard when buying AMD 64FX series processor. And more over important select Asus mainboard with nVIDIA chipset. Some Asus board comes with SiS or Via chipset which has limited compatibility. Otherwise AMD really rocks. In US most people go for AMD, even at server level AMD Opetron rock's. In Asia Intel done much advertisement and thus people just see that only Intel is good processor. There are some other evndor's also. Try Macintosh? Yeah Apple's Qudra processor is just like Intel's XEON server level processor. Ultimate boost for any OS with inbuilt graphic chip and DVMT technology built VGA interface ..What else? Sometimes i feel Apple is far ahead than Intel and Microsoft Windows. And at the end add 128 MN onwards Graphic card. DDR II support boards for AMD are available now in India and yes those boards also have PCI Express slot. SO no worries.

Intel is more friendly when Vista matters. This is from my personal exp.

Now Vista goes to Final. Which Type of processor (i.e., AMD or INTEL) is best suitable ?

Re: INTEL or AMD for vista?

Hmm.. How come 1 miss it .. :P Btw any brand will doVista does not say only Amd or Intell if you need the highest end this time when money has no bar then Intel COre 2 Duo is the choice while if you are budget restrained then AMD X2 is the way to go..

Note: Intel low cost processor are  good but the Mother Board will cost more .. WHile AMD X2 are cheap now and as the board soo.. If you are planning to gaming then AMD + Mobo = Low cost + Good Gpu .. While Intel+ Mobo = High cost  + Low end GPu..

If you plan for gaming then AMD as u get dual core at low cost and if you add a good GPU then at same price tag Intel won't beat your PC.. Then go for AMD save money :)
