yes the rc1 is workin on both 32-bit and 64bit. though it's 64-bit ver is having some appz  problems! will get the link soon. try googling it!

yes the problem is that 64-bit drivers are still lacking. so it's recomm. to currently use 32-bit version OS on 64-bit cpu too.
eg. prob.s with nvidia drivers etc in 64-bit
