@soumya:

                thank you for the reply. I do not have the ability to -\+ my shared memory form the BIOS settings menu, but i have verified that the shared memory has increased once the RAM increased. I have no idea how my performance will react when i turn on both PAE and DEP but it will be interesting to see. I was just wondering if the system would display a full 2GB or show what was left after the intergrated graphics memory. It shows my full 2GB but the increase is visible for at start up i was using approx. 660mb of my 1GB RAM and now with 2GB i am utilizing at start up 990mb.

@anyone who knows

            I would love to increase my CPU speed but Toshiba does not provide documentation. I would like to install a 1.8ghz T2130 dual core to replace my 1.46ghz T2310 dual core but i am unsure. I would not be against increasing cooling even if i have to modify the case, and i have no need for the 64bit processing. Would anyone have any idea how i could go aout finding that out? I haven't any clue as to what i would need to know in order to do this if Technicians tell me they don't know. Intel sites show a lot of information but i dont know what it is used for other than comparing the chip i already have against the one i want. what is it about the mobo/chipset that would prevent me from just buying the new cpu and plopping it in the computer. they both share the same size cache/same fsb/same voltage.

After some mindnumbing research i have found that the t2130 intel dual core 1.8ghz is actually slower in speed than the one i currently have installed t2310

so now i want a t2330 1.6ghz

anyone able to clarify if i am able to pop the t2310 out and plop the t2330 in??
