Taking a leaf out of Apple’s book, Dell has launched an All-in-One PC that combines the display unit and CPU into a single cohesive unit. This makes it similar to the normal range of Apple desktops i.e. the system comes only with a widescreen display, mouse and keyboard. The CPU/GPU and other components reside inside the display.

The introduction of this new unit, has been done with 4 different segments in mind. They are the Essential One (budget market), the Music One ( Audio Enthusiasts), Performance One (Gaming and CPU intensive use) and Entertainment One ( for multimedia enthusiasts). Each of these systems will come with base models consisting of 250 GB HDDs, 2 GB of system memory, a TV tuner and a remote control. The Music One system will come with wireless headphones and the entertainment system will come with an ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro graphics card with 256 MB of memory

Apart from these systems each of these desktops commonly come with a with a single cord for power, while any other connections are handled wirelessly out of the box, including the wireless mouse and keyboard. All systems include built-in Wi-Fi for network connectivity and internal Bluetooth 2.0 connecting peripherals like headphones and printers.

These systems will also come with with Adobe Elements Studio software preinstalled, including Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 and Premiere Elements 4 software as well as Adobe Soundbooth CS3. These software are being provided to promote multimedia creativity.
