Microsoft Zune !! Digital media player arrives !! 

Marking the next big milestone for its Connected Entertainment vision, Microsoft Corp. unveiled details of the first products to be released under its Zune™ brand.

Will be available in Black, White & brown,  Zune starts with a 30GB digital media player and adds a twist. You can wirelessly share selected full-length sample tracks, playlists, pictures or your home-grown tracks directly from Zune to Zune. It has a built in FM tuner also.  Zune software can import audio files in unprotected WMA, MP3, AAC; photos in JPEG; and videos in WMV, MPEG-4, H.264.

Microsoft to charge $249.99 for Zune

Microsoft Corp. has vowed to put considerable money and effort behind its bid to dethrone Apple Computer Inc.'s market-leading iPod, but it won't be using price as a weapon.

Microsoft announced Thursday that it will charge $249.99 for its new Zune music player, about the same as Apple Computer Inc. charges for an iPod with the same storage capacity.

Microsoft's portable music player and its companion online music service will debut on Nov. 14 in the United States, just ahead of the holiday gift-buying rush.

but how r they supposed to beat apple with these pricings(similar to apple's) ?
