Nice that your problemm is solved now, I hope. And you could manually install with those given links provided by Soumya.

Also as said first install All SPs then again try getting them further updates. Also try with Autopatcher then try try continuingfurther with Live updates. Also did you try disabling Spybot?

SPYBOT does not run at startup............................will i have continue installing the updates manually............... could u let me know where the updates which are downloaded by automatic updates stored on the local disk, so that i wont need to search for updates atleast. I will install those downloaded updates manually. THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR HELP.

Good to see that ur problem solved.

The updates r stored in following folder:

%windir%\SoftwareDistribution\Download\

Under this folder u'll get several other folders depending upon the no. of updates downloaded on ur system. In each folder there will be an "update.exe" file. So u can install those updates by running the exe file.
