first i tried windows update, even now the windows update is still on but i have enabled Notify the updates dont download and install them automatically. I downloaded the updates and tried to install them but could not. I also tried the MS site, same problem there also

are u getting any specific error or the installer runs and then just stops what happens when u run theinstaller?

It's a Microsoft world kid, I am just living in it.

Yep. What happens when the installer runs? Any error message? and one more thing is ur windows genuine? coz MS updates dont work on pirated windows.

Windows is genuine, had it not been genuine i wouldnt have been able to download the updates from either MS site or the Automatic update. When i press Install THE DOWNLOADED UPDATES, i get INITIALIZING...........after some time i get SOME UPDATES COULD NOT BE INSTALLED.

Infact not a single update gets installed
