How to create a screen saver slideshow (with your own pictures) in Windows XP

Have you ever seen it when people’s Window XP screensavers show an automated slideshow of their most recent vacation (usually with beautiful pictures). You might have thought to yourself “I wish I could do that”‘. Today you will learn how to setup your own automated Windows XP slideshow screensaver on your computer. It’s very easy to do. Here’s is how to do it: First, right click your “Start” bar and select “Explore” (on the top section). Now click on the “+” to the left of “My Documents” and then under “My Documents” click on the folder to the left of “My Pictures”. It is there in the “My Pictures” folder that you will put all of your JPG files that you will want to include in your Windows XP screen saver slideshow. Once all the JPG files are in that folder, go to your desktop (”Windows’ Key with the “D” key) and right click on an empty area and select “Properties”. Now select “Screen Saver” and under the monitor picture is a “Screen saver” section. Select “My Pictures Slideshow” in the dropdown box. Note: You can also select “Settings” to customize your Screen Saver slideshow (like change to timing between pictures, etc). Once your are done you can preview your slideslow. When it looks just right, click “OK” and you have your own personalized Windows XP Screen saver slideshow with your own pictures. Enjoy your pics!
