Shutdown Xp Faster 
Start Regedit.
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control.
Click on the "Control" Folder.
Select "WaitToKillServiceTimeout"
Right click on it and select Modify.
Set it a value lower than 2000 (Mine is set to 200).

I know a quite simple trick to shut the Windows XP very fast.Just press ctrl+Alt+Del then should down from the task manager.It shut's down really fast.This simple trick was told to me by my friend.Just give it a try.
