Hi all geeks out there. I know this may be a noob question, so sorry for that.

But i really want to know, how do you people create those cool looking Windows XP themes? I came across a software called TGTSoft StyleBuilder, but it is not free. Is there any freeware alternative?

Hey Rishi...u can use Resource Hacker to create theme.....u have to do is...browse a theme then search for the all BMP image...then replace it with urs own images....but remember to take original author's permission before customizing any theme.

This Vishal's Resource Hacker tutorial  will help you for using Resource Hacker.

But which file i have to edit with Resource Hacker?

For example, if u are editing the Lune Theme (Default), u should hav to edit Luna.msstyle which u u will find in X:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes\Luna.

Just edit the files and get ur theme.

Thanks and Regards
Ganesh
