RAM speeds- running at only 200MHz???
i have a P4 2.4 GHz intel machine with  512MB (333Mhz)+ 256MB(333Mhz) rams. i used a utility CPU-Z 1.36
and it showed that the speeds(frequency) of both the rams were 200Mhz and 166Mhz respectively!
the bios detects the rams at 333mhz, but this utility showed only 200mhz (am uploading the screenshots)!
screen1-chipset info.
screen2- ram1
screen3- ram2
is the info. correct (of cpu-z)? how to chk the ram frequencies?

Re: RAM speeds- running at only 200MHz???

If BIOS showing RAM as 333 MHz, then no worries. There must be a bug in "CPU-Z 1.36". Don't relie on third party software's. There are other utilities too through which you can confirm that your RAM speed is 333 MHz only.

Re: RAM speeds- running at only 200MHz???
I think u have two different RAMs with diffrent frequencies. One is PC2700(333 Mhz/166 Mhz) another is PC3200(400 Mhz/200 Mhz) So both RAMs with run at the lower frequency among them i.e at 333Mhz/166 Mhz.

Re: RAM speeds- running at only 200MHz???
isn't there a way to achieve the higher speed for the faster ram?
