Vishal your Vista Ultimate is a nice theme. but i am getting a small error after i do the LSPatch.

it says Insert Win XP prof. CD in CD-Rom to restore to original file. even if i cancel it 1 or 2 times, it comes again and then gets blank and never goes off. will be good if you can fix it or provide something to prevent it.

 

and 1 more suggestion is that can you either remove the search thing from start menu. (which is under 'All programs') or just make it work for real. i dont know if it is already works or something like that. but it doesnt for me.

Hi Anikket

Welcome to the forum.

1. This error doesnt have anything to do with the theme. Actually when you run LSpatch, it modifies "Explorer.exe" file which is a system file, thats why Windows is asking you to replace this modified file with original one. Do one thing! Disable WFP service using "WFP Patcher" and the error will not come again.

2. There are 2 themes, one having fake searchbar and one without searchbar. You are using "VistaVG Ultimate with Searchbar". Use the other one.

Type...in cmd

sfc /pugrecache

start search is fake search design in Vista VG Ultimate to make much similar UI to Vista.....you can try without Start search Vista VG Ultimate.

1 more thing is that.

check this pic

it shows a wierd selection rectangle. over the buttons, list boxes, icons etc.

before it wasnt like that.

any suggestions what is wrong?

 

and a dumb question...

which software you use for creating those themes?

i have two softwares stylebuilder and skinstudio professional.

skinstudio can only save themes for windowsblind but style builder can save themes as .msstyle

the thing is stylebuilder is good for testing stuff but i like skinstudio as it can allow you to edit even the log off and shutdown things and i find it more user friendly

thx for replying my last post. i used the WFP patch but just after i used it the WFP box came again. zzzzzz

ill see if it stops after restarting. thx for it.
