Dear Vishal,

        Thank you for that but i have a question about the different locations for the same registry values.  The HKLM folder tree contains two sets of the keys,  legalnoticecaption and  legalnoticetext One is under windows the other is under windows NT and there may be more.

When i have one modified to my desired message, (under windows NT) why is the other blank? What would happen if i modified the one (under windows) to a different message?  Would they both display seperately?  would one message display then after "ok" was clicked would the second one display or would they conflict and crash/not display?  I wanted to ask before i attempted this

EDIT:  well i just attempted it and it only displayed the Windows tree folder message and ignored the Windows NT message.  Would there be a way to display two messages one after the other?   I would not keep something like that enabled on a regular basis but when my nephew comes over i sure would love to have them asking him if he was really sure he wanted to mess with this computer,  then the next message saying cuz if you do i will kill you  just curious but thanks for the heads up i truly looked for this thread after you left that reply strange it is in two places and only one is recognized by the system.
