Vasu I do agree that their must be some problem with the upgradation but it should not occur on a newly installed wordpress,I am sure their wasn't any error in the newly installed wordpress

when we post the images using windows Live Writer we are gven the option to rename it but when I had posted it after updating Wordpress,the images posted from then onwards has such a name-

while the actual name of the image should be windows-xp-logo-thumb.jpg
