Windows logo key + start typing: Search your PC
Ctrl+plus (+) or Ctrl+minus (-): Zoom in or out of many items, like apps pinned to the Start screen or in the Store

Things you need to backup: 1. Internet Explorer Settings, Bookmarks, Favourites, Feeds and cookies 2. Any other Explorer Settings 3. Any new templates you have saved for the Microsoft Office >>C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates 4. Any downloads which is still there in the formatting drive 5. Any documents which is still there in the formatting drive 6. Playlist from the Windows Media Player/ Winamp/ iTunes (Virtual DJ in my case) >>C:\Users\User\Documents\VirtualDJ\Playlists 7. People tend to keep a lot of “Sticky Notes” but tend to forget its info while formatting 8. A particularly malicious worm (a self-replicating computer virus) is currently trying to spread itself through many of the world’s largest instant messaging and social networks, including Windows Live Messenger 2009. We’re very serious about protecting our customers, and are pursuing multiple avenues to help stop its progress. The worm spreads by inserting a link into an IM conversation with a person whose computer is already infected. When someone clicks the link, it opens in a browser, downloads the worm on the recipient’s computer, and then repeats this process.
Normally, when Messenger sees a web address in a conversation it is turned into a hyperlink which, when clicked, automatically opens in a web browser. This feature makes it very easy for the malicious worm to be unknowingly installed on your computer by clicking on the link and being sent to a web site containing the malicious software. Microsoft's decision engine Bing has grown older. It has become No.2 search engine in US, according
to the latest data from The Nielsen Company. In August, Bing grew from 13.6 percent to 13.9 percent of the US search market while Yahoo shrunk from 14.3 percent to 13.1 percent. Meanwhile, Google's share was up from 64.2 percent in July to 65.0 percent. Combined, Bing and Yahoo had a search share of 27.0 percent, still less than half of Google's.
Now that Microsoft and Yahoo have joined hands, Yahoo will be powered by Bing...

After 2 Beta releases,Microsoft is preparing to release the RC version of Windows Live Essentials 2011. According to the Geeksmack this version would be available for download on 9th September.
According the the source,the RC version would have the following updates-
- The installer will now contain the Windows Live essentials 2011 logo and overall UI has been improved.
- The Refresh button has been added to the social stream.
- The installation/upgradation process has been optimized to increase performance
Apparently the latest build number is 15.4.3119.0902 and the beta tag has been removed as tweeted by sp3ciali5t , though there is no confirmation regarding the same.
